Jane Goodall

Chimpanzee conservation, the incredible tale of the world’s renowned primatologist, named Jane good all, was born on the 3rd of April, 1934, in London England. Her trailblazing work has enriched our knowledge of the postpositional orders of animals and social systems significantly and narrowed the gap that exists between the human beings and their nearest neighbors on the lineage of evolution.

This, besides enriching human understanding of wildlife, specifically through chimpanzee study, has provoked reflection on the part of the reader in terms of one’s role in the world. Since the childhood, Goodall started to show interest in animal world and mysteries of Africa. The main part of her bust started in 1960 at the age of 26, when she ventured out to conduct the greatest research of chimpanzees at the Gombe Stream National Park in Tanzania under the tutelage of Louis Leakey.



In her study of chimpanzees, Goodall gained distinctive evidence of these animals using tools to reach for their needed food the observation debunked the previous notion that none but humans could use tools. She has revolutionized the way that people view relations between man and different animals, focusing on similarities between people and animals.






Apart from being a researcher, Goodall is an activist passionate about the preservation of the wildlife and animals in general. Later in 1977, she founded the Jane Goodall Institute that has grown to be a fundamental organization for wildlife conservation, environmental protection and fostering of community’s share meaning role in positive interaction with nature.





Most of Goodall’s accomplishments have been honored through the following distinguished awards; the Kyoto Prize, the Hubbard Medal, and the Benjamin Franklin Medal in Life Science. It is imperative therefore to state that her work has received accolade from academic and scientific institutions in different parts of the world hence establishing her as a luminary in the field.

For that reason, Goodall’s insight for the animals, as well as her moral stance for the rights of animals makes her highly regarded within the conservation society. Nevertheless, she is a powerful activist for kindness to all the living beings, and for the care of the Earth encouraging people to act towards the world.
